Home movies. We watched them over and over as kids, my sister and I. First birthdays, vacations, Christmas mornings, everything—we loved them more than Disney movies. (Confession: I actually used to think the people waving at the camera were actually waving at me through the television as I watched them back. Ha!) My Pops seemed to always have a bulky black camera balanced on his shoulder, rolling. Keeping record of loose teeth and ballet recitals like they were monumental. (Because to us, they were.)
Kyle and I are making it a priority to take home movies for our family, too. On a real (much less bulky) camera, not just Snapchat. So here are some clips from our East Coast road trip. Boston ---> Acadia National Park ---> Prince Edward Island.
On another note, if you have a good resource for turning VHS tapes into digital files, please send recommendations my way!
